Food & Agriculture

The Food and Agriculture Department of the Ghana Standards Authority has the objective of providing quality service to its customers both internally and externally in the area of testing of Food and Agricultural Produce.

The Department is made up of the following Laboratories:

  • Food Laboratory
  • Drinks Laboratory
  • Myctoxins Laboratory
  • Metallic Contaminants Laboratory
  • Pesticide Residue Laboratory

Products are normally analysed for quality parameters, pesticide residues, heavy metals and contaminants for purposes of quality evaluation, certification and export/import business.

  • Milk (liquid)
  • Milk (powdered)
  • Milk products eg yoghurt

OTHER SERVICES: We offer training to Staff of Industry and Other Standards Organizations in the West Africa Sub-region.
