
The International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) regional training on Managing National Standards Development Project and Programmes opened at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra on Monday.
The four-day event, which is being hosted by the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA), in collaboration with the ISO, seeks to provide efficient and effective services to standards developers.
It aims at highlighting the fundamental principles of good standardisation practices, enhancing understanding of the importance of applying project management approach to standards development process, among other objectives.
The programme is being attended by participants from Ghana, Mali, Benin, The Gambia, Burkina Faso, Cameroun, Cote d’Ivoire, Niger, Sao Tome and Principe, Togo and Sierra Leone.
Two ISO trainers are delivering the training which is supported by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).
The training includes pre-training and post-training assignments.
